day one

Arrive in Accra

Once you have arrived at Accra International airport, go through Immigration and luggage collection, you will be met outside the Arrivals exit by your guides. If your flight arrives at night there will be snacks in case you are hungry from the long journey. From the airport we will drive straight to the hotel for check-in. Later in the day, based on how you feel, we will visit Independence Square and the Black Star Arch. There you will learn about Ghana’s independence in 1957. In the evening we will have introductions, welcome drinks and dinner accompanied with African culture drums.

Day Two

Accra

Shortly after breakfast, we will visit the National Museum of Ghana. Afterwards, we will visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park which is the final resting place of our first president of Ghana. After lunch, you are free to relax or go to the beach. In the evening, we will have an optional Accra nightlife.

Accra

Shortly after breakfast, we will visit the National Museum of Ghana. Afterwards, we will visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park which is the final resting place of our first president of Ghana. After lunch, you are free to relax or go to the beach. In the evening, we will have an optional Accra nightlife.

Day Three

Asenema Falls via Aburi, night in Accra

Today, we will visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens, where you'll learn about various African herbs and plants and their importance to our society. Afterward, we'll head to the beautiful Asenema Waterfalls, where you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Bring your swimsuit if you’re interested in swimming in the waterfall. On our way back to Accra we’ll stop for a delicious lunch.

Day Three

Asenema Falls via Aburi, night in Accra

Today, we will visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens, where you'll learn about various African herbs and plants and their importance to our society. Afterward, we'll head to the beautiful Asenema Waterfalls, where you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Bring your swimsuit if you’re interested in swimming in the waterfall. On our way back to Accra we’ll stop for a delicious lunch.

Akosombo

After breakfast in Accra, we will drive 2 hours, 30 minutes to the eastern region of Ghana, Akosombo. Akosombo is known for Volta lake which is the world’s largest man-made reservoir. Akosombo dam powers approximately 30% Ghana’s electricity. In the afternoon, you can relax from the long journey and enjoy the pool at the hotel.

After breakfast in Accra, we will drive 2 hours, 30 minutes to the eastern region of Ghana, Akosombo. Akosombo is known for Volta lake which is the world’s largest man-made reservoir. After breakfast we head to the Safari Park in the central region, the drive will take approximately 2 hours. After check-in and lunch we will go on a late afternoon safari drive to see giraffes, zebras and antelopes.

In the morning, we head to Cape Coast today which will take approximately 3 hours, 20 minutes. We will make our first stop at the Assin Manso Slave Market where the Africans took their last bath before being transferred to the dungeons at Cape Coast castle or Elimina. From here, we will have lunch and visit the door of no return at the Cape Coast slave Dungeon.
